A couple of unfortunate hippies were sentenced to 6 months in jail for dumpster-diving "five cucumbers, four or five apricots, two bundles of asparagus spears and a handful of cherries from a garbage can at Sweet Pea Produce". Giles Charle and David Siller, two guys in their twenties, were on their way to a Rainbow Family gathering near the Colorado Resort town of Steamboat Springs. The two were charged with felony burglary and misdemeanor theft, but the felony charge was dropped when they agreed to plead guilty.
