Canadian Government Defies Courts

Even though Canadian courts have ordered the government to stop, the federal government claims it will continue to deny a passport to Abdurahman Khadr, a Canadian citizen who is the son of a suspected al-Qaida financier.

The court declared that Khadr, who has never been charged of any crime, deserves "fairness and legitimate expectation owed to all Canadian citizens".
