For any who care, here's a relatively easy method for secure communications:
Use a notebook (because LCD screens aren't, to my knowledge, vulnerable to TEMPEST eavesdropping), boot from a live Linux CD (to insure your OS doesn't have a keylogger installed... you can use Knoppix for PC, Ubuntu for Mac), access a free email account through a web proxy (such as The Cloak or any other), and encrypt your email or forum communication using a public-key encryption application (like PGP or GPG). If your end party is less encryption savvy, but you've agreed on a private key, something like JavaScrypt can handle medium-strength encryption.
Notebooks are also good because hardware keyloggers are more difficult to implant on them.
